Before you write in
- The Wi-Fi network name shows as "Network Name Hidden"
- macOS only exposes the connected Wi-Fi network name to apps that have Location permission granted. Open the app, go to the Wi-Fi screen, and use the "Grant Location Access" button — or enable it manually in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.
- A permission shows as "Not Requested" or "Denied"
- The Permissions screen only reports status — it doesn't request access for features the app doesn't use itself. Head to System Settings → Privacy & Security to change any permission directly.
- Does the app ever change or delete files automatically?
- No. The Disk Explore duplicate-file finder only removes anything when you explicitly tap delete on a specific file or group, and everything goes to the Trash first — nothing is permanently deleted without you doing it yourself from there.
